Winos, foodies, and friends of Mpls.St.Paul Magazine gathered at TCF Bank Stadium for the magazine’s Ultimate Wine & Dine Friday, September 30 and Saturday, October 1. The event benefitted U of M athletics and Junior Achievement and offered guests exclusive tastings of more than 300 wines and samples from the best Twin Cities restaurants. Marianne Miller of Saga Hill Cooking School, John Occhiato of Cosmos Restaurant, and JP Samuelson of Soprano’s Italian Kitchen offered up some demonstrations, which highlighted their culinary talents. On Saturday, the first annual Street Eat Awards honored the best in Twin Cities Food Trucks. Scratch won first place and Gastro Truck won Honorable Mention and Peoples Choice Award. Co-produced by Johnson Brothers Liquor Company and sponsored by Wells Fargo Private Bank. Other sponsors included Best Buy Mobile, Schmitt Music, Cambria, TRIA Orthopaedic Center, and BMW of Minnetonka.
