Who: Mpls.St.Paul Magazine July cover girls, Live Like a Real Twin Cities Housewife contest winner Anna Kucera, and fans of the love-to-hate Bravo TV franchise
What: Mpls.St.Paul Magazine’s Housewives Party
Where: Home designed by Jaque Bethke for PURE Design
When: July 27, 2011
Why: To celebrate our July cover girls and crown the winner of the Live Like a Real Twin Cities Housewife contest
In honor of Mpls.St.Paul Magazine’s July issue Inside the Real Lives of Housewives of the Twin Cities, the issue’s five cover girls—Anna Lyon, Rebecca Bell Sorenson, Sara Talebi, Landyn Hutchinson, and Jennifer Kline—were guests of honor at a summer soiree full of friends of the magazine.
Hosted at a brand-new, contemporary home in Minnetonka, the event was the perfect platform for more than 200 guests to share in their passion for Bravo TV’s Housewives franchise. Kicking off the evening with a touch of glamour, housewife Rebecca Bell Sorenson arrived in a limousine with at least a dozen in her entourage.
Inside the four-bedroom, five-bathroom Trace Ridge Road home worthy of a Housewives TV close-up, partygoers sipped the “Skinny Ty-Kugar,” a cocktail with former Housewives of New York Bethany Frankel’s Skinnygirl Margarita mixed in, and sampled apps from Surdyk's and Christos, while Mpls.St.Paul Magazine editorial director Jayne Haugen Olson and senior editor Allison Kaplan addressed the crowd. Meanwhile, svelte models showed off fall fashions, and our Housewives and guests grooved to DJ Rick of Flow’s tracks.
Towards the end of the evening, we crowned the winner of Mpls.St.Paul Magazine’s Live Like a Real Twin Cities Housewives contest—Anna Kucera. Chosen by the general public, Kucera won $6,000 in prizes, which she will donate to a National Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society event on August 17th.
